I have a few TR air coolers, even 2 lapped TRUE120 I still have. but no aio and ordering one but so many to choose from. not considering another brand. only tr aio. bang for buck im always satisfied and even if it lasts 3 years thats fine.

which do you have, what cpu, and how long do you have yours?

they have so many I dont know the difference. i wrote to TR. well see what they suggest. frozen magic/notte 360/frozen prism 360

frozen prism seems like a lower end and gamers nexus reviewed said "good" but maybe go next tier up.

curious why this isnt showing up in any sub group?

somethings fishy. no one here owns a TR aio?

tons own their air coolers.

maybe CPUs are so efficient these days that they don't require AIO cooling? They definitely aren't as popular as they used to be.

Especially when their air coolers are so cheap.why spend more?

I have used one. They perform fine. The fans run as high as 3300 RPM and for the price they are great. One thing that is small but sweet is the fans are already installed on the rad.

yes youre right but some of the higher level cpu under heavy work like video editing will tax them. im worried about the 5950x and here in the summer its brutal and I dont use AC. I much prefer using fans.

I personally dont think it makes a blind bit of difference. Ambient air is still being pushed through the system and temps are still going to be high. An AIO might cool your 5950x cooler for longer but once the liquid inside reaches equilibrium with the ambient temp. Its going to run hot regardless. You cant cool lower than ambient temp.

Either work early in the morning/evening when the air is cooler or get an aircon unit to keep the room cool if you have to work.

Man..

I have some Thermalright coolers.

I also have Frozen Edge 360, and Aqua Elite 360. Same rad and block, different fans. The Aqua Elite fans are slow, like the ones Steve reviewed.

I have roughly a year on each one, I beat the piss out of them with my 5900X with many continuous loads at 260w. So far no sign of permeation.
