Hi, five months ago i bought the arctic liquid freezer II 240mm, after installing it all was fine but four months ago it started to do an annoying noise that it comes from the pump, if anyone knows how to fix this please help me.

I've attached one audio with the noise the pump do while working.

My guess is that there's air bubbles in the loop. How it's mounted?

Welcome to TPU!

Is it starting to get warmer where you live? 5 months ago was basically the real start of winter (in the northern hemisphere) and now we're getting into spring, and as the temperatures rise, the cooler will have to work harder. Also, does it need to be dusted?

I know that the best way to mount the radiator is in the top, but my case doesn't support that orientation.

No. Tubes down in front is okay as well.

I'm not talking about top or to the case's front orientation, the block itself needs to be mounted upright, I own the AIO and have done research regarding that. Arctic suggests that the block HAS to be mounted up facing, or it can break itself.

Are you sure the noise is coming from inside of the pump and not the added fan?

Outside of moving things around to try to remove air from the head unit, your time may be better spent with ARCTIC, than us.

There is nothing you can do. Make sure that the top of radiator is above the level of the pump.

If this noise didn't exist before and you changed nothing then it could be failing.

The thing is that I contacted arctic customer service and they sent me another liquid but it presents the same problem

I'm going to check the fan that's on the block to see if that's the problem.

Just stop it with your finger and listen does that make any difference.

Try lowering your pump speed for a few days then turn it back up.
That could also work.

i did not listen to the audio because files like that can be bugged, (sorry) youtube link is better. anyways, post a pick of the pc. make sure its not a cable rubbing a fan or something else. post a screenshot of hwinfo so we can see what rpm the pump is at. check to be sure the pump is hooked up to a pump header and if its located on a fan header, turn that fan header to 100%

I can confirm that it's a legit audio file on that zip package.

At this point I'd have it on a workbench and in bits. But don't. Instead request an RMA if all advice here doesn't solve the issue.

There's a screenshot of hwmonitor,

ANd the attached file is a pic from the computer

I requested a RMA but the new one had the same issue, I've contacted them again to see if they can fix it

I'd uninstall it and shake it around if the air would move around from the pump, as my guess is that there's air in the pump.

Right. Switch off your machine and remove the rad. put the rad in one hand and fire up your rig. Move the rad around gently in different positions and see if the noise stops. If it doesn't just RMA the little noisy monster.

Only thing I can think, by looking at the image, is air is in the head unit.

You can change the RPM and see if it moves, but you could lay the PC on its back (right side) and see if it goes away.

Yup, pretty much similar from getting air out from a custom loop.

This is why I stick to air cooling these days. the faff with liquid would see me kicking the device across a field.
