I have the game also, never noticed the foliage looking like that but definitely a feature. You'd know a graphical artifacts outright. An out of shape objects, color mismatching, flickering scene, wrong textures, and other outerworldly stuff. However if there's a "graphical oddities", just look if it's uniform, most likely it's just fancy way the programmers tried to save some resource on the hardware.

With games having consolitis it's more apparent.
All games have graphics artifacting.
What you should be concerned about if and when it happens is lines on the screen with color banding, Lockups etc.
