Neither Clonezilla nor Partition Magic will see my external eSATA HDD when it's hooked up to the Asmedia SATA controller, but windows 10 will. Ugh. My external eSATA enclosure has the choice of eSATA or USB 2.0 so I guess I won't be imaging via a DVD bootable image of Clonezilla.

What motherboard do you have?
Usually it's not a big issue but I will also like to state I prefer to used AMD/Intel native SATA controller on any board but I tested with a lot of external SATA to USB enclosures not really the biggest issues.
I also tried different applications like Acronis True Image, Aomei, Norton Ghost (Yes still got it on a disc at work) and there are properly more.
I don't use Clonezilla really.
