Hi all - wonder if any of you experienced this or have any bright ideas.

System specs in profile.

I never get a picture from dGPU or iGPU on first POST. I have to let computer load windows and then press power button to get windows to shut down and then turn it back on again and then I see the BIOS screen and windows etc and all is fine. Tried different HDMI cables and changed from the 980Ti to onboard but still the same behavior.

Tried enabling the CSM and different options for display adapter (disable, Legacy, UEFI) but same behaviour.

Have latest BIOS for mobo, just going to check for 980Ti...

Any thoughts much appreciated!

what the shell ...
thats a odd one
what happens if you completely disable the igpu in the bios ?

I have checked under the 'GPU Multi Monitor' setting and it was on disabled already and the primary graphics adapter was PCIe. Checked BIOS version and it is 2.60, still the latest.

Gonna try Asrock support for giggles...

Have you tried powering the monitor up after booting the system?
It may be the monitor, related to HDMI.

Yeah i was thinking that too, i have had it with the odd LCD screen when it's been left on auto. If he\she has the option could see if there is a option to pick digital or analog connection.

Thanks for your comments - monitor senses input automatically, but I will try another monitor to see if it's my monitor. Could be excuse to get approval for new monitor from the long haired general!

Well hopefully the monitor your using has a OSD and has a option to select digital or analog first, so if your using the D plug pick analog and if your using HDMI select digital.
