It dosent say it has to be ASUS mobo:

You will need:

Windows 8
UEFI compatible motherboard
GTX 600 or Radeon 7000 series graphics card
NOT OVERCLOCKED SYSTEM - DON'T RISK IT! Take normal BIOS flashing precautions.
If you run an CrossFire/SLI system, our advise is that you install 1 card at a time for this process.

I have it installed and it checks only for ASUS mobos. Other people in that thread have also complained about it. There's a text file with only ASUS mobos in it and some numbers. I wish I knew how to put mine in it.

"This bit is critical:
* You will be UNABLE to flash back to the original legacy-only BIOS. HOWEVER, the new GOP UEFI BIOS is actually a Hybrid BIOS. It includes the legacy one as well as the UEFI one. But...
* We are only able to qualify its use ASUS motherboards: that includes those with UEFI BIOS' and those with older legacy BIOS' (we've checked on boards up to ~4 years ago). Other motherboards might work with our UEFI graphics cards but we cannot officially endorse compatibility as we don't have access to all BIOS and board revisions. The software checks if your motherboard is compatible.
* (If you intend to sell-on your card to fund a future upgrade, since you can't flash back, remember this decision affects the next person you sell to)"

Knowing this; that there is a good chance that the vga card will not work [*as intended] with the current mobo installed in your system and the fact that this is an [*irreversible process]:ohwell:

nb: If you get a chance next time you are logged in; go to UserCP and fill in your system specs hardware brandnames and OS

atb (all the best)

Those are all Asus mobos and mine 100% supports windows 8 fast boot, its not a hardware problem on my side. Mine is a MSI z77a-gd65 and I have Windows 8 installed. Asus is just being stupid and only supporting Asus mobos.

It works.....

You have an ASUS mobo, the whole point of my post was to try to get it working on non ASUS mobos or hope that people can upload all the individual bios to techpowerup. It's been confirmed in the thread that ASUS designed it to only work on ASUS mobos even though the majority of newer mobos support fast boot.

Okay - you want someone, with an ASUS GTX 660, who has converted to UEFI BIOS, to upload the BIOS file, so that you can use it with your GPU?

Ya I hope every bios gets uploaded to techpowerup. I also hope someone figures out a way to skip the mobo check or knows how to make it accept non ASUS mobos.

That's cool, but no support for Z68 motherboards such as mine? (Ones that already have a uEFI version laid down on it).

You need an UEFI graphics card? new to me!
