hi,
i have problem with my computer, a week ago when i use my PC, suddenly it's show blue screen.
since that moment i can't boot my computer. i already check my memories and found both of them are dead
so i bought new one. but after i tried my new memory it's show same sign.

my computer can't start. the post LED in my mother board will lid up with sequence VGA LED-CPU LED-Memory LED and repeated.although i push the memory mem OK button, it's not give effect

if i try to unplug my graphic card will result same LED sequence. but if i unplug my memory the memory LED will stay lid up. is that normal? is my motherboard broken? please advice.

3 years ago i ever update the BIOS to make this motherboard support AMD FX8xxx series.

i already sent email to ASUS for technical assistance but until this thread still no response

for reference my computer spec is:
CPU: AMD FX8120
motherboard:Asus sabretooh 990FX rev 1.0
memory: patriot PGS1333LLKA 8GB kit
graphic card: MSI 7870 hawk
4 pcs of Harddisk
corsair H50 CPU cooling
PSU:Cougar 700GX

i already use this spec almost for 3 years

i will appreciate any suggestion and advice, i already have no idea which component is broken

Hi and welcome to TPU.
Did you read this from your manual
The DRAM_LED also lights when the DIMM is not properly installed. Turn off the system and reinstall the DIMM before using the MemOK! function.
• The MemOK! switch does not function under Windows™ OS environment.
• During the tuning process, the system loads and tests failsafe memory settings. It takes about 30 seconds for the system to test one set of failsafe settings. If the test fails, the system reboots and test the next set of failsafe settings. The blinking speed of the DRAM_LED increases, indicating different test processes.
• Due to memory tuning requirement, the system automatically reboots when each timing set is tested. If the installed DIMMs still fail to boot after the whole tuning process, the DRAM_LED lights continuously. Replace the DIMMs with ones recommended in the Memory QVL (Qualified Vendors Lists) in this user manual or on the ASUS website at www.asus.com.
• If you turn off the computer and replace DIMMs during the tuning process, the system continues memory tuning after turning on the computer. To stop memory tuning, turn off the computer and unplug the power cord for about 5–10 seconds.
• If your system fail to boot due to BIOS overclocking, press the MemOK! switch to boot and load BIOS default settings. A messgae will appear during POST reminding you that the BIOS has been restored to its default settings.

Maybe this could be it:

Could it be that it wont boot because it doesn't support your cpu (I doubt it really)

Did you try to boot with only 1 memory stick in the A2 bank and without a GPU?
Do you have your motherboards speaker connected, and if yes does it beep any code?
Does only the LED for the ram stay on? From the manual I see the board has led's for everything.

Unfortunately i missing my speaker so i don't connect the speaker.

The post led light up in this sequence:
VGA Led on then off-CPU Led on then off - memory on then off and this sequence repeated.

I already do cmos but no effect, I also already did 1 memory, 2 pair and four pairs but the result are same.

When i unplug the memory the memory led will stay on.

If the bios is reset to original bios this will answer this problem. Maybe this is the source of problem, since my CPU is not supported by default BIOS version.

Removing the Ram will result in the Led staying on, that is to indicate an error.
As you have stated all three Led's come on then turn off we can assume the VGA, CPU and Ram are all ok.
The issue must lay elsewhere.
Disconnect all hard drives and try to boot, use only one stick of Ram, if that works connect the hard drive with the O.S. and try again.

Did you clear the CMOS after changing the memory modules? This is necessary.

Is there posibility my motherboard broken? Because when i unplug my graphic card the LED sequence keep running same as with what i already mention above. Not stop in VGA LED since i don't connect any graphic card.

For additional information, i can't restart my computer, everytime i restart my computer the computer will restart but my monitor always blank.

Do you have another card to try for graphics?

You could try reseating the CPU and Ram, and rebooting.
I can't think of anything else at the moment, perhaps someone else will come in and assist with fresh ideas.
