I finally got my ATI AIW X800XL from futureshop for the spanking price of $165 CDN, and after some tests confirmed it IS an ATI AIW X800XT. Joy!

Using ATITOOL -> o/ced to 500/500 without a sweat (and with stock fan).
PCB + FAN look exactly the same as the XT version.
Samsung Ram.

Just wondering, does anyone have the instructions to do a BIOS flash (XL->XT) from beginning to end? I didn't want to do the wrong procedure and screw up the card. Thanks for your help!

Also, checking the product comparison chart on ATI

The primary difference between both is
XT XL
500 mhz 490 mhz core
500 mhz 400 mhz mem
8 16 pixel shader processors

Will bios flashing to XT make me lose those 8 pixel shader processors?

xt has 16pp. only thing what you need to know what core you have x800 or x850. then find xt aiw bios what is made for same core and memory and flash it.

pci-e cards cores: x800=r423 and x850=r480
if i remember right agp cards are: x800=r420 and x850=r481

I'm doing x850XT (540/600) speeds fine with RADLinker. My card crashed after a minute on 595/600. =T

Should I BIOS flash? or Just keep it the way it is and use RADLINKER to O/C?
