When trying to flash my bricked gpu using bios it aays Newer rom version already programmed and it doesn’t flash it

Depends on the GPU. You have to unlock BIOSes on some cards before you can write to them, even if you use the force command line switch.

But how do i do it? Also it seems like im the first person ever with this error

atiflash -unlockrom 0 <----- 0 is the number of the adapter, if you're using a second GPU to fix a dead GPU you'll want to change accordingly.

That's off the top of my head though, think the locked BIOSes were an AMD card thing.

If you're using Nvidia, try https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/guide-for-flashing-bios-of-nvidia-gpu.119955/

TBH some info wouldn't hurt. You've asked a very general question and we don't know what brand, model, card, BIOS, version, new, used, or why you're flashing it. All of those things could be relevant.

Its a rx580 maxsun 4gb that is used from ebay and im flashing it cause in my previous post i tried to find a bios that has it’s correct clock speed and memory to flash but ended up bricking it

Fair enough, you may have to keep testing different BIOSes but for a one-card setup

amdvbflash -unlockrom 0
pause
amdvbflash -f -p 0 bios.rom

as an example, where 0 is the number of the GPU you're trying to flash.

That's a .bat file I wrote so my minions could reflash a crate of RX570 mining edition cards with the regular non-mining BIOS without having to understand atiflash, and bios.rom was the renamed, correct BIOS I'd found.

where it says 'bios'.rom, you have to put in the file name of the bios you're trying to flash. Not the word bios.

Still does this

I named the file bios

Also update: i was able to get the amdvbflash exe running without crashing the display and reeboting on my intel graphics by unstailling drivers with ddu

Omg i think i fixed it all i had to do was unistall display drivers for amd now the app works

2 different utilities, same thing = BIOS flash

AtiFlash
Amdvbflash
Now how can i get the right bios file for it

Did you reflash it to what you had when you bought the card?

Please be patient. We need to examine all unverified BIOSs one by one and compare it with the the one the card had in the beginning. Most important is the type of VRAM and the BIOS id. I’m not on my PC now, I will be in a few hours.

@Yoitsnami can you upload the first BIOS file from the card here? The one with 1168MHz.

Does crc code on atiflash have to be the same to work properly?

Also you think if i use the polariseditor to copy settings from another bios It would work?

Actually i was able to put my card at 1340mhz using the polaris and it doesn’t crash like usual all i did was copy another rx580 settings over mines using polaris and its been working fine I just need to adjust some settings I don't know what acoustic mhz limit I should have it's at 1340mhz and should my max rpm be 2000 or 3400 im using 2000 rn and the only problem is my gpu fan spinning fast during games thats using the gpu it doesn't affect performance and idk if thats normal or not

How many rpm the fans spinning?
And what BIOS did you use? Tell the file name. Was it for Hynix memory?

idk how can i monitor my fans rpm while gaming and i just used my orginal bios for the polaris editor and copy other maxsun rx580 settings with a 1340mhz 2000mhz rx 580 settings and i just adjusted my settings based of them and it seem to work

Ok, then show this...

And as for monitoring you can do it like this... Run UnigineHeaven 4.0 (windowed mode) and open GPU-Z sensors

Ok, it looks right for GPU/Memory speed and voltage.
How about the fan RPM? Did run the test to see fan speed?

while running the user bench mark my gpu fan went to 1500 rpm and the max my gpu could put out was 1300mhz
