ATI Graphics video decoder and AMD Polaris / Vega GPU VP9 Video decoding

I want to ask why Radeon HD 2000 to Radeon HD 4000 can decode H264 video to 4K and how did it achieve 4K? And Radeon HD 5000 starts to no longer support 4K and becomes 1080P. The UVD version of the graphics card has not changed either
RV740Radeon HD 4700 seriesUVD 2.2
RV730Radeon HD 4600 seriesUVD 2.2
RV710Radeon HD 4300/4500 seriesUVD 2.2
RedwoodRadeon HD 5500/5600 seriesUVD 2.2
CedarRadeon HD 5400 seriesUVD 2.2

In addition, I would like to ask a question

On December 8, 2016, AMD released Crimson ReLive drivers (Version 16.12.1), which make GCN-GPUs support VP9 decode acceleration up to 4K@60 Hz and twinned with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10
(Extracted from Wiki Radeon RX 400 series)

I heard later that AMD removed this feature I want to ask I want to try this feature What is the final driver version AMD can support this feature? Exception what should I do to enable this feature
Is that function only valid for Radeon RX 400 series? This function can also be used on Radeon RX 500 series Like AMD Radeon RX 550 (Lexa) graphics card

Are you sure the data you found is correct to start with?
As far as I can find, UVD 2.2 was for RV710, RV730 and RV740, while UVC 2.3 is Redwood, cedar in addition to juniper and cypress and all of them have a max resolution of 2k. I find no mention of it supporting 4k hardware decoding.

It’s mainly because of some people I know that he said the same, and some websites also wrote the same. I just want to come up and ask That's right

I'm at DXVA Checker Seen on the page Someone who studies the old graphics cardTell me like that, I don't understand Why these old graphics cards can support 4K-H264 hardware decoding under the same UVD versio
