how can i better cool this thing without buting a new cooler, i mean like extra heat sinks and where would i place them?

reapply the thermal paste once in a while clean the fan... thats all you can do...

It's 'cuase It didn't needs them

my 4850 (Sapphire Dual Slot) don't have any ram sink but I can OC it 100% stable to 1050MHz, the core to 700MHz (i'm sure it can go higher but I'm only using Catalyst overdrive).

See the temps and try to OC, my card not pass 70C at full load and the ambient temp is hot here, 25/27C.

GPU-Z shows you VRAM temps I think. Is this the card with the big copper cooler on it? Just up the fan speed a bit, it's really NOT that loud.

Yeah, you should be fine then (unless your case doesn't shield you from the noise at all, although I ran mine with the side off for a week or so and it didn't sound much louder even at 100%, although I am used to fans constantly going).

i upgraded a mates pc with a 4850 that has a non standard cooler with no heatsinks on the ram chips either...
in some games he was artifacting and losing power to monitor, so i bought a couple of heatsinks and popped em on the VRM's and ram and now he's good to go...
he does have a poorly designed case though with one one 12cm exhaust fan

it is amazingly better, i can have all textures maxed out, on most games

and still have a fair few more fps then with my old hd 2600xt. I have to say im very glad for all you advice when it came to this card and im very very very pleased with how it performs

this was needful measure, since card was simply turned off after 10 min. in burn mode working and rebooting.

You may notice that 4850 in burn mode VRMs was changed from 110 degreeses to 92 degreeses after installing that thing.

ive tried the tpu image hosting site aint workin for some reason, an it is jpg format an well under the size limit. It loads up first you select the photo then when you click upload, ma tinternet says it aint workin, an ive used it before so it aint ma browser

Those coolers work pretty well and cool the vram. I would put some heatsinks on the vrm's. They are the little square black chips on the card. Perhaps replace the TIM.
