hello,

I need some help here, I've flashed my vga with some bios that I found around, to get more oc, etc.

I've made a backup of my original bios, but somehow It got corrupted, It has been saved with 64kb, when the normal size is 128kb ... :banghead:

I've read about it, it was my mistake.

So I need a original bios to put on my card, to get it working.

I've tried the ones on the database here at techpowerup! but is a no go!

Can anyone upload a original bios for me?

My vga card is:

HD 4890 from PowerColor

heres the link: http://www.powercolor.com/global/products_features.asp?id=133

I've tried the ones from powercolor, his, cub3d, from the database at techpowerup! none work for me.

Thanks in advance!:toast:

I know that this is from a different brand, but have you tried the XFX HD 4890 BIOS? Since they do look the same (at least on the specs side) it could get your card working again, at least until you can find the original BIOS file.

I'll try it right away! Thanks for the quick reply!

But are you able to flash the card and it still doesn't work or you can't even flash it?

I can flash it, but it just not boot!

I'm using a second old vga, at primay slot, and a bootable usb stick with atiflash 3.78

I can flash with any bios, but does not boot, the fans works, the leds on the vga blink at start, but i get a black screen...

I'm using these commands at atiflash:

atiflash -i

atiflash -f -p 0 bios.bin

0 is the adapter where I have my ati, (because the other old one is a gf, it does not show on atiflash)

I'm I doing something wrong, or the vga is dead? or what?!

Thanks!!

Did you manage to fix this? Im having the same problem as you after flashing with Zeus... how did it went?

I sent an email to powercolor support, asking for an updated bios to my card, they sent me my original bios, but the card don't boot...it's dead, I fixed my problem... with a new card! :P bought a 5770!

Oh crap... that's what i was fearing... lol... well... time for an nvidia then!!!
