does anyone know how to get ATI video converter to actually input a file, everything I input besides mp4 says unsupported or is it just that it dosen't actually support them. I have heard that with 64bit windows 7 its semi broken, and the video's do work with another PC I tried with 32bit but not this.

I heard that their was a modded version call A's that could convert, but every link I see is dead

I've only really tried with .avi files. Do those work for you?

i have xp and win7, in win7 nothing works, in xp i can convert avi, mpg, mpg2,

mp4s never work

i tried installing klite codec pack, it makes no difference

ATI are liars and full of shit. You can convert old shit movies to smaller shittier movies, if you want to convert any high def content, buy Nvidia.

I'm able to convert Fraps .avi's to H.264 1080p just fine. Quality is pretty good too. Nvidia doesn't give you a free converter.

pretty good is not a 24MBPS or 17MBPS or even a 8MBPS high def video. If I want a video on my phone, I can use it to convert a crappy rip to a even crappier one, but my phone already plays all the videos I want.

So unless I have a older device it is worthless, and will NOT convert true High Def video on any of the programs I have tested so far at any reasonable sort on increase, at least not the increase I could get out of switching to a Intel processor, or a Nvidia card.

They still win at accelerated media playback though.

yes fraps videos are encoded great and awesome fast

i just wish i could encode youtube flv and mp4, for me mediacoder is way better, also i wish i could use it in win7 but for some reason it doesn't work

See, and how many fraps videos do you want to watch, again and again and again.......

How many home movies of your childrens first steps, or the funny things they do, or vacations you took, or a relaxing scene with some awesome music, or a concert or other program, or someone doing stupid shit, or a wedding, anniversary, or party........

Yeah. So ATI is great at the once in a great while I had a cool video that I transformed and uploaded. but all the really important shit, nah, fuck it.

I like to watch youtube, but I can, and so can my phone.

It is really unfortunate that Windows Live movie maker is better at handling files than other programs, paid and advertised.
