Bad perf on 4070Ti in MW2

Hello,
I've many fps issus in diff games. For example, I've 110 instead of 200+ in mw2 with everything in very low.

I just upgraded my gpu from a 3060ti to a 4070ti. After upgrading my drivers, nothing strange. But when I play games like mw2, I have low fps (maybe lower than my 3060ti).
My gpy usage is rarely exceeding 12% -20% on mw2 and in games like apex not 50%.

Every time in games, I have these performances indictors

I don't understand why, because I have the high performance mod enabled, my ram is at 3600mhz and I have a correct cpu i5-11400F (also, when i check benchmark, they have higher fps, 100fps more)

My alimentation is a 850W.

Thanks for any help,

Here is the specs of my computer generated by CPU-Z

What are you comparing your PC to ? why should you have 200 fps ? Do you know how to use MSI Afterburner and RTSS ? if so use the overlay to monitor your temperature and CPU and GPU load while you play your games. If your GPU usage is at or around 99% you are fine, if it is lower then your CPU might be a bottleneck.

I am comparing my pc to benchmarks on youtube and also to my previous results with my 3060ti. For me it's not normal at all to get less fps in apex for example than an 3060ti.
So as you recommended, I tried msi afterburner and using msi kombuster, my performances seems normal

I don't know why my gpu is acting that bad in games since I can't notice any problems using msi kombuster ...

are you using full pci-e bandwidth? During load? What does GPU-z show?

what about drivers? You mentioned changing them but did you actually do a clean install?

Are you using the same graphic settings. Its possible you were on medium or low before with DLSS on. Now on ultra without DLSS.

that CPU is not even capable of pushing 200 FPS in this game.
depending on what you're playing some maps struggle with 200 FPS on a 13900KS.
and MW2 is tailormade for Radeon... just like FH5. a 6950XT with a slight overclock beats a RTX 4080 in MW2.

he said very low, 1st post

You want that ?

Also, I just used geforce experience to get the latest version drivers of 4070ti (not recommended to use ddu so i didn't).

I have arround 120fps on mw2 with everything in low.. Are you sure the cpu is the prblem ?

If that’s the case it seems to me that he should actually bump it up in an attempt to remove that brutal cpu bottleneck

open afterburner, use the graphs to the see the usage on the gpu and cpu as you play the game, to see where the bottleneck is, it's always somewhere

also open hwinfo and look at things like temperatures

Sounds like you're CPU limited, and CPU-Z seems to indicate that you're at 65W PL1 (and maybe PL2 as well).

Update your BIOS, set PL1 and PL2 to 125W and see if that helps.

i always say it's better to actually see the problem, where it is, then to throw money at a problem. I don't own that cpu or that game, but at very low i would assume that cpu could do more then that.
This is not that hard to actually see what is going on like i said.

temperatures seems correct arround 45°
I put every graphics in ultra. Nothing change and the amount of fps is the same 120
Actually in mw2 game, the gpu is used at 20% and the cpu 100%

Because your CPU can’t do any more.

nevermind, then it's the cpu like they said

that CPU, maybe single rank ram... probably.
just look at your GPU usage while playing.

I mean there is a benchmark you can run it will tell you how bottlenecked you Are generally.... Keep in mine in game is actually a 10-20% more cpu demanding than the benchmark and Warzone is even more so. So if you can't get 200fps in the benchmark no way in hell you are getting it in game.

In the main MW2 Multiplayer I can barely maintain 180-200fps at 1440p with a 4090 due to being CPU bottlenecked with a 5950X. Although I game at 4k with maxed out settings and DLAA so it doesn't matter.

You are basing this on what exactly ? That you should be getting 200+ fps I mean, for all we know this could be as expected for your particular configuration. i5-11400F is not really the fastest CPU around and with a higher end GPU you're always going to see low utilization with everything on low, it's just how it is.

he has 2 dimms (the attachement), if he installed them properly idk

Guessing that was on low settings with a much more powerful CPU at a min 7000 series or 12th/13th gen intel.

Dual rank gives you a nice boost but you need either 2 dual sided 16GB ram sticks or 4x8GB sticks to benefit when cpu limited.

100% need a better CPU..... LIke others have mentioned. Like I was saying in game it's about 10-20% more cpu heavy than the benchmark so you getting around 100fps sounds about right.

The reason why it might seem worse is you are bouncing off the cpu limit at all times you probably where not with the 3060ti.

I didn't expected that the cpu diff would be serious and had to change it too.
I tough the i5-11400F would be adequate for that gpu but actually I have a better understanding.

So you guys could recommend me a good intel cpu to avoid this bottleneck (or reduce it drastically) ?

Ideally you would go to like a 13600k with decent DDR5 but without anyone knowing your budget it's hard to recommend anything. Also Local pricing.

best in socket option is the 11900k but not sure that is worth investing into the 13600k destroys it.

Maybe someone else is more familiar with Rocket Lake I pretty much ignored it due to how underwhelming it was.
