Premium performance at a premium price, the Ballistix Elite has high aspirations. Can a simple, rugged design hold its own on a stage crowded with the latest in flashy finishes and RGB LEDs?

These sticks should be top bin Micron rev E. Should try them on looser timings like 19-23-23-40. My 3000 CL15 sticks does 4400 on those timings.

I wish Micron/Crucial made some plain black pcb sticks, but with timings like this. I think that "value" line (the green ones) only goes to 3200...and latency is horrendous.

Giel Black Dragon ram - Not sure if they are still made though.

I have the same kit and can only achieve 3400 stable using Ryzen 1700 and MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC
Any tips?

I don't know how many times I hear this from Ryzen folks. Not sure about this kit, but it seems the "made for Ryzen" labeling is the best thing to go with. Although 3400 still isn't bad at all.

Managed to do 3533 CL16

No word about thermal sensors? It's one of the key features of this memory.
AIDA64 shows really low write bandwidth. It suggests that something is wrong with the test platform (BIOS, mobo, settings, ...). I had to RMA one CPU because of that. It couldn't pass ~50GB/s while all others were reaching ~100GB/s on the same settings.

Actually, it depends on luck. These modules are really random. All my sticks run between 4100 and 4600+ ... and I mean regardless of settings, some of my sticks hit a wall at ~4100, some can boot at 4600+ (on Z390).
At 4000 I had more luck with the same IC but dual rank. On X299, 4x8GB kit could make 4000 19-21-21 stable / 4000 19-19-19 for benching while 4x16GB kit could make 4000 19-19-19 stable / 4000 17-17-17 for benching.

I can't find screenshots from 4x8GB so here is 2x8GB ( 2 better sticks from the reviewed kit, can see PN in CPU-Z window):

Why do you not show the chips used in the review?

agree.
Btw if you look close you can read a partial ''9B'' throught the heatsink, this mean that are C9BJZ and not D9VPP as thaiphoon burner say... i read a lot of review, cause i bought a set of ballistix LT and i tried to figured out what ic are coming with that ram set. And a lot of review (most of them chinese and japan) show c9bjz under the heatsink while thaiphoon burner say d9vpp.
That unmatching info mistake is very common and lead out all the stats for that kind of e-die... now i don't know if thaiphon burner is sloppy or just crucial copy and paste all the same SPD info meanwhile use different kind of IC.
