BattleField 2 Ranking Problem

Hey Guys,
Im new to the BF2 game yet i seem to have got the hang of it quickly,
I have been playing it on ranked servers for about 4 hours now and i obtained the rank of Staff Sergant, The problem is that when i log back in Im back to blank stats and private ranking, I played again made it up to sergeant ended the match logged off then logged back in, again all my stats were gone and i'm back as a private, what am i doing wrong or do i need latest patches?? im playing on same version ranked servers

im not, but im playing on severs with the same basic version, is that what the problem is?

they are not ranked servers, if you want to get a permanent rank up, then play on ranked servers. If your on the official patch then play on ones that have a rank sign next to them. If not and you have a *cough*free*cough* version then play on servers like these http://www.playonteam.net/news.php

i do play on ranked servers, HK9 servers, i've tried playonteam aswell but still my stats don't save

i forgot to mention my game is legit, it's a bought game and i've registered my key, my mate is borrowing my disk so im using a no cd at the moment, could that be a problem, it shouldn't really matter since EA know i've bought the game and registered it.
Reason im saying this is because it never worked with the disk.

Well if your using any hack or crack, then none of your stats are counting, after all the info is processed by the EA server, your reset to 0 again. Also how are you getting to the rank of staff sargent in 4 hours? that is about 5000 PTS , at the rate of 100 pts per game ,Which I doubt you are getting, having just started playing the game, you would need to play 50 rounds in 4 houirs to get to where you say , 12.5 rounds /hour... about 5 min a round. 100 pts in 5 min for a beginner? 20 pts/ min? I doubt that you could be playing on a ranked server and get that kind of average. Did you get weapon unlocks at your promotions? you should have had 3promotes which equals 6 or more waepon unlocks.
Something doesn't make sense here. but I'm not sure what.

Yeah i got the weapons unlocks after i reached staff sergeant, it's easy enough reached when your a medic in the middle of hell, yeah im a beginer but i still play a hell of alot other FPS games.
Tried installing patch 1.41 last night but that failed. Im not surprised this aint the first time i've bought a game and its failed to work online
Also again this happened WITH the disk. NO CD and Disk both fail to keep my stats.

You do need to have patch 1.41 installed for sure, and is your punkbuster updated? with out these 2 being current, you won't get to a legit ranked server and I beleive 1.41 won't install if you have a no cd crack going with the progam. so you might try removing it, and then installing 1.41 once that is installed you shuold be able to get to a server accepted by EA. If you don't think thats it then try to get into our server, I am a member of a clan, We are =DoM= Ranked server, I'll get you the exact server name so you can try it to see if you are getting in to a legit ranked server. I'll post you the name soon. good luck

well i sucessfully got 1.41 to install with the No CD, hmmm what punkbuster update will i need?

just the most current version of punkbuster, usually if you get on a ranked server and it's not up to date it will let you know that it needs to be updated. Do you also have any EXP packs like special forces or armoured fury. If you type in on the multiplayer screen, at the top of the server list where it says server =DoM= , then hit update server, and let it do its thing, then hit up date server again you should see =DoM= Ranked Server 3 that is one of ours, the others are special forces maps and you have to enter by starting the game choosing to run SF instead of regular BF2. if that works then there must be some reason that EA keeps resetting you. You aren't running any hacks are you? you don't need to answer that , but if so then PB might be busting you and sharing the info with EA who resets you. try this out and see if you get into our server.

If I recall correctly there was problems before the game was patched with rankings and all of that good stuff. I believe the patch should have fixed all of that.. So you should be good on the 1.41 patch along with playing on servers with the same version.

About the unlocks, you should have gotten a couple at lance corporal, a couple at corporal, a couple at staff sgt too. something is a miss if it only gave you some at staff sgt. Hope it will work out for ya , I know what you mean when you said it isn't the first time a game you bought wouldn't work on line for ya..... me too.

Well i recieved the secondary weapon for all classes when i hit Staff Sgt, i never noticed untill i logged in again, i was back to 0 stats but i still have the SA80 and such

Now it crashes when loading anything, Nice uninstall coming up. God damn it when will EA give me something that works online!!
