It's been awhile since I've built a PC and done any benchmarks. I want to test my newly built system GPU and CPU and want to see what it can do and it's stability. I know about Cinebench, Heaven and 3DMark and 95 Prime. What are some of the better benchmark software today other than those mentioned, if any? Have these been updated?

Thanks...Al

Superposition. Unigine Heaven is good and is still relevant. However, it is older(2009). Unigine Valley is the similar(2013), but Superposition is a few years newer(2017).

3DGuru has a whole section of excellent benchmarks to choose from.

Also, the FF14 Endwalker benchmark is good for gauging actual gaming performance, within the context of the FF14 engine, the latest version of which can be intense.

Thanks for those.

Question. Is it worth purchasing the 3DMark Benchmark? I noticed the free version doesn't test system capabilities for 4k but the paid version does.

That depends. What are you trying to discover about your system? Or are you testing a bunch of systems comparatively? If it's just for personal use, no, not worth the purchase.

Personal use. Just testing CPU and GPU. May do some OC on both.

1) Download 3DMark 11 (https://benchmarks.ul.com/legacy-benchmarks),
2) Use public legacy key (same page as above),
3) Set highest resolution you can (utilizing DSR/VSR), along with highest AA under Custom options,
4) ...Profit ?

@agent_x007

Question. When I set the custom setting and run custom settings, it doesn't provide the score results because it was ran with custom settings. Is this normal? Does only the preset options provide results? Btw, I was able to select 4k resolution but like I said it did not give results because it was a custom setting.

Thanks...

Yes, that is correct.
Custom settings are custom, and for stability testing - it's fine.

To get "usual" score from 3DMark use presets (Extreme, or Performance, etc.).

Yes, and yes. Custom settings are for individual system tweaks and experimentation. Ratings are not and can not be based on them as it would be impossible to set a standard metric everyone could compare to online.

Rare GPU you got there....

@P4-630

Are you serious? I waited a long time to finally get an EVGA HC card. I had waited for the 3090Ti version but they decided not to make it and then I guess we all found why...they stop making all GPUs. When it showed in stock back in July and there was no sign of the 3090 version, I decided to get this card when it was revealed there would be no 3090Ti HC.

EVGA 9080Ti FTW3 Ultra Hydro Copper.....
Ahh. I see, haha! Good catch. I didn't catch that. I must've been thinking about my 980Ti and added an additional number. Thinking 6 years out. Fixed.
