Best Program to check Hardrive

Overclocked but i want to check if my hardrive is stable , anyone have any recommendations for checking a new hardrive to make sure its 100 percent. This will help me verify any problems with my overclock.

I dunno, this is the first time i heard of someone worrying about unstable hard drives while overclocking. I think you should be concerned about your CPU & RAM as thats what gets unstable when overclocking the CPU. To check for stability use Intel Burn Test, for Intel 775 CPUs (and i7 also, i think), Orthos, Prime 95 and OCCT. Do a CPU and RAM blend stress test or check components individually. For RAM also use MemTest.

There are utilities that check the health of the hard drives though they dont get unstable while overclocking, at least not to my knowledge. You can use HD Tune to test your HDDs. Also, almost every major drive manufacturer has their own utilities to test hard drives. Go to your drive manufacturer's site and download the approriate tools, i recomend the DOS based myself.
 
If you overclock whatever bus your controller is on it's a bad idea. If you do have a PCI lock, there shouldn't be any real issues with data corruption.

good point, lock your PCI-e at 100Mhz and PCI at 33Mhz (in think) that will prevent any instability of devices attached to those slots.
 
Seatools is a gr8 app to check for errors (windoze or dos)
 
I've had a few issues when I OC, not sure if it was my HDD or what. But a few times with different comp setups if I have a OC that didn't even post and I restart and drop it down. When it gets to windows I need to re-enter my cd keys again. And my PCI-E and PCI are both at stock. So no clue, but maybe OC'ing can affect them?
 
Oc`ing can cause problems with hdds
