I played a few good old arcade games the other day (literally arcade games) and picked up Streets of Rage on Steam the other day hoping to play it via internet with another friend as the 2p but unfortunately the multiplayer/coop aspect is local-only meaning I needed him there at my keyboard to mash the buttons.
I did a little research and found that there's a few NES/SNES emulators and such that support play over Net Play. (don't want to discuss emus, roms, or anything of that nature in this post)
My question is - what were your favorite multiplayer side-scrolling combat games for the NES and SNES? Were there any decent ones for the Sega, N64 or more recent systems?
(Think King of Dragons, Contra, and some of the old TNMT side scrolling arcade games.)
