Best used GPUs?

Hello there! I look around for a new GPU and my options are RTX 3050, ARC A770(it is somehow cheaper than RTX 3050) and RX 6600. They are all around 420-450 USD. Can i get a better deal in the secondhand market?

Yes, i saw a lot of reviews on the RX 6600 but the high ram and bandwidth of Arc is making me thing three times...

Nvidia is only good if:
1- you're doing AI or need video encoding....
2- you already have so much fps, that you can turn rt on

And, well it's easier to resell your Nvidia later....

With better driver updates and performance the 6600 is the obvious choice. The VRAM matters if you are playing at 4K and expect 144Hz with features turned on. If you can look for 6700XT used as that is the best card south of the way more expensive ones for the money.

Well i don't think i resell my gpu, i still remember buying my GTX 670 over 10 years ago and i don't give a damn about ray tracing.

RX 6700 XT is 622,76 USD currently and it is over my budget. If my tiny dinosaur can survive couple months more i can try to save up. Who knows how much gas it has...

If you are playing at 1080P the 6600XT is fine. The 6700XT is that much because it is good. I do know that the 6650XT can have some weird pricing and also the 6750XT.

I play at 1080p I can understand the better being more expensive this is why i have a budget and options and i can not affort XT models, i will choose between RX 6600 or A770 and i still research about them both.

It consumes 2x times more energy not worth it at all. Specially for people with very tight budget.

Which one? RX 6600 or Arc? I don't think i have a PSU problem. My PSU is enough for up to RX 6800 XT

The Arc and i am talking about your power bill. If you don't have the money to buy a higher tier GPU, you also don't have the money to pay for 100W more of power usage that doesnt give you more performance. (you should to some maths for 4 or 5 years of usage to see the difference).

In 4-5 years of time is not a concern to be honest. My rent is stable with all the bills are included.

I would suggest AMD rather than ARC, AMD has a lot more users and has been in the graphics card market way longer than Intel so you can expect less issues with the card.

It honestly depends on the games you play. DX12 and Vulkan? A770. DX11 and older? RX 6600.

Note that the test suite is different, so averages cannot be compared.

I would consider waiting until a couple of mid-range cards drop, as prices are likely to fall a little bit.

As a saving grace Arc can be power tuned to great affect. Dropping from 228W to 150W is only a 5% drop in performance for 65% of the power draw. It can be tuned even more down to 105W with another 5% drop. With up to date drivers and a 150W power tune it will be faster in the majority of today's games than the RX 6600 for a roughly 1:1 power increase to percent gained.

Quite a few of these numbers are woefully out of date, as Intel's driver developments have substantially improved performance in a few of those titles. Launch day performance was pretty terrible, it's nowhere near as bad now.
