Bought an ex-mining card, is my BIOS ok or shall I modify it?

Hello,

Could you please help me out a bit?
I've bought an RX 570 Sapphire, 8GB - Samsung memory.
It appears it has been mined therefore I am not sure if the current BIOS is good for gaming / browsing or it shall be modified.

I'll post a picture from GPU-Z.
I've ran Furmark Preset 1080, screen below with results
I have also ran a stress test,5 mins, result below as well, ambient temperature 25C.
During the stress tests the card was deadsilent.

Could you please advise, given the results below, if the performance is okay or the bios was altered?
On the box is written:
PN 299-rE366-001SA
SKU# 11266-09-20G

Thank you.

There's nothing saying mining bios can't be used to game. That being said, just realize what a good mining bios is trying to do. Get the most hash with the lowest amount of power used. To do that, they usually jack up the memory speed and use modified timings, and lower the core clock/voltage. Once you realize that, you can use wattman or afterburner to offset that if you are not happy with the gaming performance, as core speed has a big effect on that usually. Or if you find your games are crashing alot, you'll probably need to lower the memory speeds and/or increase core voltage. This is why people would suggest reflashing the stock bios, so you don't have to play around to find stable gaming settings, but its not necessarily required.

Thank you for the help.

To be honest, I'd like to have a stock bios. How could I do that? I've read about how to flash, I'm just unsure of what the correct bios would be for my card.
Any chance you could guide me into finding the right bios?

Your best bet is to search youtube honestly, there are some very good tutorials out there. Last time I flashed my cards and needed a refresher, I watched the tech yes city one.

Hello,

I have searched your database, I've seen there is a Samsung one but I have encountered this error when trying to flash it.
As I could have noticed, the part numbers are different

LE.: Apparently, I have this BIOS Installed right now. When trying to flash it told me " this version is already installed.

Hello, Thank you!

I've tried it and encountered this issue

LE. I've performed some OC. Also got a BIOS that I think it may be the right one. Managed to rasie the clock to 1410 top. , seems its stable like this, 1370-1410, max 71 degrees after 10 minutes.
I will try some games and if I'm satisfied...I'll keep it.

Anyway, I'll try to contact sapphire. maybe they are being nice and provide the exact , right bios for me.
If not, keeping it this way :)

Thank you guys!

Hi there
As you can see in the picture i put below, i linked you a BIOS made for your card that match the details i underlined in your picture made from GPU-Z
1002-67DF-1DA2-E366 and also i respected the memory chips you have on your card - which is Samsung.
So there is a small possibility that you have a model made for another market like China for example, or my guess is that you already have a modded BIOS that is not a match to original BIOS that came with your card.
So if it was my card for sure i would have tested the BIOS i already sent the link but with force flash command.
That means you should use in DOS mode the AMD BIOS flasher with the following parameter : atiflash.exe -f -p 0 BIOS.ro
Be careful and 1st save your BIOS that you have right now in your card - in case something is wrong with new BIOS you can anytime revert to what you have now. (OFC using force flash command)
Good luck
