Does anyone know what this error is?

It's a rather typical (not very informative) BSOD.

Could be failing hardware, could be faulty driver, could be BIOS settings.
I recommend you run memtest86+ from bootable CD / USB.

Also. Please attach your minidump file (found in C:\Windows\Minidump\), so we can analyse it and may be able to tell you which part failed (eg. driver).

Cheers,

Your BSOD seems to be a common problem. Just Google Windows 7 Stop: 0x0000000A and you will find lots of people complaining of the same thing. I found an explanation on Tom's Hardware of the BSOD and they even link you to Microsoft for a hotfix. However for some reason Microsoft has removed the hotfix.

Microsoft Hotfixes Windows 7 Memory Leak

I'll keep looking and if I find anything I'll post back here.

Looks like a pci conflict. Did you add any new hardware recently? Maybe you have left a usb stick in one of your ports or sth?

It's not like this. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL happens due to many different problems.
Only Minidump can tell more.

my brother had this on his computer for a long time and I kept telling him that his ram was being undervolted. He disagreed and changed a million things to no avail. Finally he changed the ram voltage and voila it was fixed. That's one scenario of something that could work, but as everyone has said it's a very generic bsod issue unfortunately.

I have added video cards but since and have seen this issue. I have been getting crashes and frozen screens when playing games, benching and even idle. Now I know it is not the cards and I have run memtest so I will get the mini dump and post it . I will check my ram voltage as well. Thanks guys...

Could be a variety of different issues, have you tried reinstalling your drivers?, try also running Memtest86 to see if it's a memory issue.

I haven't seen one on win7 yet! Don't you guys miss the days of win98 when one was bound to appear every 5 minutes? Granted back in the days I didn't have a clue.

Back to topic, well it'll be hard to know what exactly is causing it. I'd start with memory troubleshooting though. My 2 cents. Blue screens are often due to these faulting.

I ran memtest and came up with no error's. I am going to check a few things more. Is there any software to check your mobo for any faulty ports ?

Sorry I'm having a hard time reading what you said. Is it that you added a video card(s) and then the bsod showed up?

Have you tried uninstalling drivers fully? First going through normal control panel uninstall and then to device manager and delete the video card and check the box that asks you if you want to delete the drivers with it. From that point you should reboot and Windows will be using the default MS vga driver. If you have two cards make sure you do not have the sli bridge on. Leave it off and do the above and then reinstall drivers with it off.

I did all that . I did get a dump file but I am unable to open it. this is what was said after the BSOD reboot in windows.

I have also attached a zip of the dump file...

It's the drivers. How did you reinstall the drivers?

BTW, an excellent way to view them dmp-files is BlueScreenView.

Downloaded the file from ATI/AMD and restarted in safe mode and did it that way. Is it the gpu or chipset drivers. This board is a 790 FX .

Don't you have nVidia cards? If anything you only need the southbridge drivers from AMD not the full install package.

When was the last time you updated your DirectX files? June 2010

This is my AMD system I am using. I will try the DX drivers but I get constant display driver failures.

Was it always when booting the computer? I had endless BSOD (with all kind of messages) and couldn't find a solution; in the end all that was needed was a bit of voltage to the ram and haven't had a problem ever since. :)

I increased the ram to the proper voltage . I am getting install errors when installing SB or a full CCC software. These are this pc's Specs

Mobo- M4A79T Deluxe
CPU-965 BE
PSU TR2 RX 850
WD black 640
OCZ DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Model OCZ3BE1600C8LV4GK

I will continue to mess with it until I figure this out. I am no spring chicken doing this and I have not seen this issue before. All the the above options that have been posted have been tried and did not work.

Guys I do appreciate all the input so just keep posting and i will continue to try things. I personally think it is a chip set driver issue.
