Im looking for a Good burning software for my Optical Drives

I have used Easy CD Creator 4, 5 and Nero 5/6/7 (7 Ultra or 7.5 Essentials
)
My Thing is I bought Nero 7 Ultra about 2 years ago and i have reservations about installing it due too the fact of the Nero SCOUT (takes over File Formats Left and Right) I am asking for alternatives to these apps that support the formats my drives support. I found Nero 6 to be the best i used, Nero 7 being a pain wether its Ultra or Essentials. Nero 7 essentials came with my optical drives.

No Clingons? aka Crapware that is attached to the Program. also what im wanting to do is burn a .MDF and i believe .mds to a CD so i can install something from a CD, which i believe i would have to convert the .mdf/mds to ISO. I know .ISO is a complete image of a CD (partition/format/files/filesystem)
I know im somewhat a pirate (downloaded a Game to replace one that was on CD but the CD is damaged now)

First of all, Nero scout can be easily disabled. Apart from that, Download Nero Micro, it's a stripped down version of Nero, you still require a legit key though.

Well i did buy Nero 7 Ultra Download
so i do have a Key, i just Like how Nero 6 was, too bad cant do that to Nero 7 Ultra Tho.

I use Nero 8 Ultra. I just make sure to do an advanced setup and uncheck everything I don't intend to use. I also opt out of using Nero Scout. I have never had Nero Scout hijack my file associations in Nero 7 Essentials or Nero 8 Ultra. It does a great job at burning either way.

+1 for Nero Lite

Excellent and much of the bloatware removed ,my installed version of Nero Lite weighs in at 26mb which is way way smaller than the normal version.

Free of crap, and as far as I know it burns everything without questions. At least it burned everything correctly what i wanted

nero lite = warez, Ahead/Nero do not produce or support this distro.

Just warrning you because warez talk onmost forums will get you warrned or banned outright.

imgburn can do everything nerolite can do and more, just that its 100% legial!!!

AG(makers of nero) considers this warez, why is an admin promoting warez?

if AG finds out your using anything but their default suit they may(and probbly will) blacklist your key, Im not guessing here, they have done this to a number of people on a few forums I frequient in the past.........

+1 to that.

I tried both Nero and Imgburn.
Imgburn ftw for reasons above-mentioned.
Further to that it's more reliable than Nero because Nero sometimes gives errors when Imgburn doesn't. I tried on 2 pc's.
And obviously because Imgburn's free.

i know you mean no harm n all, but ive been around here for quite sometime (even before i became a forum member) All i'm wanting is a Multiformat-lightweight app that is somewhat easy to use (Like Nero 6) that has no clingons or stuff that hijacks the MIME settings of a computer (MIME being the format support system- what apps open what files)

give it a try, its not addware, its not spyware, its JUST A BURN TOOL, its basickly the best of every burn tool(nero, alch, blindwrite, clonedvd, roxio) without the crap effectivly NOBODY wants.

hope this makes it clear, imgburn is by far the smallist and most powerfull burning tool around, and best part its 100% free.

Nero Lite still require a key to run, therefore its not really warez, just an alternative from using the bloated version of nero.

so what version of nero do you use?

I have a Copy of Nero Essentials 7.5 and License to Nero 7 Ultra (Essentials seems to be too lightweight, i guess because Nero 6 i used had Burning rom itself)

i own nero 5-6-7-8-9, still use imgburn more then nero.

Add another vote for imgburn. Ever since I found it, I gave both my Nero 7 Ultimate and Roxio 9 away to friends. They just weren't needed anymore.
