I'm thinking of my next gaming upgrade being a dedicated gaming rig. The idea being not having anyone touching my primary work machine (little brother and 2 nephews do my nuts in). I'd prefer others not to meddle with my gaming progress/achievements/etc hence is there a way to set up a second account?

If it helps, its for Battlefield 2042 on steam.

All you need is to create a separate Windows account, and log it into second steam account.
Then under your primary Steam account: open Settings -> Family and go from there. You'll see local accounts right in that window, and under "Manage Other Computers" you can check/add/remove computers that you are logged in to, or other PCs that you've shared your library with. Under "Manage Family View" you can tweak your sharing settings(share everything, or just selected games etc).

Excellent! Only had I known earlier... I wouldn't let the others play Doom/Metro Exodus unless its previous missions lol. This resolves that with peace of mind.
