Hey I'm thinking of upgrading my graphic card to GTX970 G1 Gaming.
Can't seemed to run the new games that well anymore.

Is my current build good enough for the upgrade? Do I need to change any other components?

Motherboard: asrock b75 pro3-m
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 @ 3.4GHz
Ram: 8.00 GB
Graphic card: Gigabyte GTX660 Ti 2 GB GDDR5
Power Supply: FSP Raider 550W
Case: Armaggeddon 17"(W) X 7" X 16.5"(H)

Thanks in advance.

You should be fine and it has plenty of amps on the +12 V rail. The FSP Raider 550 watt that I looked at only has one 6+2 power connector though. Fortunately the Asus GTX 970 Strix only requires one 8 pin connector so you would be fine there but double check your PSU. If you have two 6+2 pin power connectors then you can use any of the 970s without having to resort to molex adapters.

Mine has two 6+2 pin power connectors. :)

Just make sure that it will fit your case!!

dude, OP is looking for a Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 Video Card.

Should be able to fit into the case nicely. It's just slightly bigger than my current card.

everything is fine with your build, just dont forget to send your 660ti to me! (@_@)

Good lord yes. That PSU is 42 amp rated and a 970 only requires 28a/500w min system power.

The only thing I would say is you might get slightly less performance in some CPU intensive games with that CPU vs a higher end one, but other than that, it's fine.

It will be a good upgrade. Enjoy that new GPU!
