Can not find audio driver for WINDOWS 8.1 VIA sound

hi all, we can't find suitable driver for my friends pc. There is audio in stereo + subbwoofer, but not 5.1. only 2 speakers and sub working.
system spec: ECS H61H2-M2 motherboard
VIA sound card VT1705
operating system Windows 8.1. 64bit
speakers logitech 5.1 X-530
drivers i have tried: version 10.1200A, version 10.005D,
and few more, can not get VIA HD deck to work and no 5.1 sound.
error: can not find any HD audio device
any help appreciated

Make sure your integrated audio is enabled in BIOS otherwise no driver will be able to find it.

Did them work in Windows 8? Perhaps Windows 8.1 is the problem.

Or VIA has to do some fixes.

If it worked in Windows 8 then you should complain to Microsoft. How a minor change in their operating system could make a driver useless!? :shadedshu:

@Blue-Knight system was reinstalled from Win 7 64 bit to win 8.1 64bit. no test on win8 was done.
