Processor i3-4160
Motherboard msi z97 pcmate
Cooling generic
Memory 8gb ballistix
Video Card(s) evga 750 ti ftw
Storage samsung ssd 120gb + 1tb samsung
Case 210 elite
Power Supply evga 500w
Software Win 7 ultimate 64bit
that is the board and the spec says it supports 800mhz the lowest only.

The supported memory list also shows DDR2-667.

just wonder if i put in ddr2-533 pc2-4200 will it run?

It should. That would be more dependent on the CPU's FSB speed. If you install a CPU with a 667- or 800-MHz FSB, that memory may not work (I haven't tried that myself, but it makes sense).

It should work, I ran an 800mhz FSB Pentium D 940 in a GA-G31M-ES2L with DDR2-533 for a while before my friend gave me some DDR2 800

the GB can run the ram but it will overclock the ram to 667Mz. PC4200 or 533Mhz, isnt "supported".
