hi my build
b450 mortar max motherboard
r5 1600 af
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz cl15
Corsair CV Series CV450 - 450W 80 Plus Bronze Certified PSU
Geforce GTX 1660 Super
2x ssd
Deepcool Gammaxx L240 Aio
two case fans
i currently have my cpu oc to 4.2 @1.25v and the ram set to 3200mhz cl16
my temps are in check about 62c and according to hwinfo64 under full load for 20+ minutes on several benchmarks and games my vrm gets to 55c and im not getting any cashes or strange system activity
now my question is
1. is it ok to be running 3000mhz ram higher then its rated.
2. if my cpu is stable with auto llc but im seeing a small bit of vdrop when starting a benchmark run. should i be worried about it. according to cpu-z my core voltage is 1.256v and when i start a benchmark run it will dip to 1.248v for half a second then back to a solid 1.256v
3. if i update windows does that affect my benchmark scores . like if i did a run a month a go but have updated since and now my score is less. is that because of an update or degradation
i have been running a 4.2 oc and ram oc for about a month but i wouldnt imagine id see degradation in that small amount of time but im new to pushing hardware past its rated point
if anyone feels like answering thanks in advance
