Can u access the debug menu in cuphead

Hi so I just found out how to access the debug menu in cuphead and I am wondering does it still work on the latest steam version and I still have save backups don’t know about the level0 and level7 files and I am still confused on how to change everything back and unrelated to the topic but to players that play cuphead should I use an Xbox controller or keyboard (mouse is unavailable to my knowledge if mouse is usable than I’ll use keyboard and hopefully) I want ur honest opinion not something saying for me to choose
