Can't update avast

Avast is saying my virus definitions are out of date yet after a couple of seconds of trying to update it tells me the package is broken.

So, err. What's going on here?
 
Uninstall it, re-install a newer version.

I don't see how this one I have now is outdated with 258 days left of subscription, but I'll try that once I get back :toast:
 
One of my laptops in the house was doing the same thing. It isn't that your version is bad, there is some oddity in this update. I removed it and got a fresh download and installed it, all is good now:)
