Sigh, long story short, i clipped off the power switch wiring on my lian li k58w case, luckily i know how to manually jump the cables by hand.

in my case; its for the [POWER SW] on the side that connects to the power switch itself, not these black heads that connect to the motherboard.

***update, after trying to fix the wire that came off, i broke the middle attached wire too SIGHS!

i can try getting some electric tape but if that doesnt work, does lian-li offer replacement for this thing? they arent based in the USA from what i know.

-i could try my luck online, but does anybody know what exact "search terms" i should base my searches on?
-can i use any ground power wires from like different computer cases and stuff? i mean they are pretty much all the same right?

wiring is the same in every case, just keep the positive and negative correct and splice in what you need. If Lian Li were to offer it, it would come with the switch most likely.

yeah its hard getting support for a product i bought like 2 years ago(plus a outdated model) i can post a picture to see if members can help more, maybe theres a simple solution rather buying a brand new case just because of a broken power button

You could send an email to Lian Li and see if they would send a switch or wiring set for that model of chassis, likely that button is still used in newer models.

yeah, exactly what i did. sent about 2 emails to lian li and lancool and emailed performance-pcs and frozencpu because they also carry other lian li replacement parts

hopefully they all get back to me asap, with a solution- otherwise might have to invest in a new case /facepalm. one little mistake might cost me 50-60 $usd

Looks like a standard case push momentary switch. You could potentially take one from another case or get one on ebay, it shouldn't be more than $5 shipped. Look for "PC power button"

In the mean time, you can use the reset button to turn the PC on. Just connect it to the power button leads on the motherboard.

L.O.L i literally did not think about using the reset switch

you sir, deserve many thanks

i will also look for some power switches off ebay too

There are lian-li switches available here:

May be possible to match one to yours :)

yeah i was browsing around there and frozencpu

what i didnt understand is what the kit is exactly, is it just the wires? are they or are they not preset onto the power switch? in the images they show the cables and 4 different heads, does the order come with all those? unwired or already hooked up?

Looks like the power and reset button (with switch and wires) and 2 front panel LEDs on most of those kits.

*note- the switch may be the same for all lian-li cases.... not sure on the buttons though?

Going by the picture the only lian-li specific parts are the actual switch enclosure (the white part where the switch is nested) and the button. Any standard PC switch (like the one I pictured) will do fine. You can get batches of 10 on ebay from Hong Kong sellers for $5.

yeah i just noticed when i was browsing on ebay. thanks!

so Im just gonna grab a few (in case I fudge up again LOL) and simply replace the broken black/gray switch with a new one. now i just gotta figure out how to get the black/gray head out of the switch-holder....... its in there pretty tight
