Hello everyone, pretty new to the forums, though i was reading for awhile before i made my account.

I always liked doing my own type of (as far as i know) somewhat original case mods. my simple computer with a side window lacked anything special..

after some thinking and planning, I started with a stained glass computer window. the finished project:

between a few pieces of cracked glass, all my parts being ruined by electricity, and the simple age and longing for a new computer, i started on a new build.

as i was waiting for my new computer parts to come in for a new build i recently completed, i was wondering what would come of my old desktop. i had spent a minimum amount of money repairing it and ended up with a still had a decent, working PC.

driving around with a few friends i noticed a piece of furniture on the curb to be thrown out, and couldn't resist taking it. immediately planned out how i'd throw my old computer in there for a download/tv recorder/security pc. here are the current pictures.

i mounted the motherboard to the back

then cut holes for two 200 mm fans on either side.

i'm still working on mounting the power supply

as well as the hard drive bay i stole from an old, out of commission desktop..

aside from cutting out the area for the io panel and dvd drive, getting the hard drives in, and cleaning up the scrapes/cuts in the wood... does anyone have any tips, advice, or comments they'd like to share?

looks like you'd have plenty of space for water cooling in that thing. if you decide to use water cooling in your newer rig you could swap em again ;)
