Installed and messed up Dirt 2 on me. Black blotches all over the place. Went back to 9.12 and its fine now

So far I have not seen any problems with these games: (of course I don´t have a 5000 series card)
- STALKER - Shadow of Chernobyl
- STALKER - Clear Sky
- TF2
- Shattered Horizon
- Far Cry 2
- HL2
- CS: Source
- Day of Defeat
- HAWX in DX10 mode
- Dirt 2 in DX10 mode
- Wolfenstein
- Crysis Warhead

Ooooooooh

that is one impressive update list

CrossFire X profiles per application will now be in a separate XML file that it will be possible to update independently of the driver itself
Read as: users can now fix flickering/crossfire issues by editing a file manually, and altering the crossfire mode used.

If laptop manufacturers allow it, possibility of installing the Catalysts on a laptop in Vista and 7
Read as: we got sick of people being forced to use laptop specific drivers, cause laptop manufs are douches

so is this 64 bit and 32 bit??

That's why I use Driverheaven's MobilityModder tool. I haven't tried it out with Win 7 but never had issues with Vista x32/x64.

has anyone tried installing these on a laptop without modding them first?

Anyone running these with a 5850 yet or just a 5xxx series card?

Even though they were posted in the 5850 area of the MSI site, I'm thinking these are 56xx drivers. You can get the same drivers at AMD right now dated 1/14/2010.

I'm using them on my 5870 under Win 7 64-bit. I only install display driver, HDMI/DP driver, and AVAIO though.

That is why i always wait for the official release ... most of the time anyways ;)

not even an 5750?

well, mayby i could get a 5750 I didnt relize how cheep they are but would i see much gain other than dx11?

I got to admit i didn't check your specs :banghead: , i didn't know you have an 3870x2...:o

But then again i don't know how much power your card can deliver but it must have a good punch... & probably owns the 5750?

We got an similar system but i do have an 5750 ...;)

You got any games that we could compare?
HL-2 , Far Cry2 , Doom 3, Grid , etc...?

I'm getting confused

theres an AMD packaged one

then theres a MSI one that supports the 5970 gaaa

it's can use for ati x1000 series?

No. The x1000's use Legacy (older) drivers. Just go to AMD's website for those.:)

LOL I think FirMan is Bo_Fox undercover, come back to mess up ati users driver installation's:laugh:

Still waiting for the new one...
