I have the x-cruiser from apevia, and in the front I have some blue led's, I am planning on changing the blue led's with green led's, but is that possible? i don't know that much about electricity, but i have once heard that different colors of led's need different volts or something... nvm...
can i change my blues with greens...?
(it's powerede by my 4-pin-molex from my psu...)

thx in advance

You can,you would have to unsolder the old leds from were they are ,mounted and replace them with green ones though. The voltage may depend on the number of leds,or there could be some resistors to cut the voltage down from the molex.

I rescently removed the light assembly from an old apevia I had. Its just basic wiring with srinktube on it! Only assuming here, but would assume that the same size leds, should use similar voltage!

It was wired from a molex connector. From what I saw it was just wires and lights and a plug. I am getting it and the camera out after I type this.

the ends of the LEDs, no resisters!

Powered with these two pins!

On the left is the plug on the end of the LEDS, to the right is the adapter end!

Thanks, looks like they are wired in series,so no resistors are nesecary.

Actually I believe its wired paralel as there are 3 blue and 3 white wires connecting into a main wire of each color to the plug.

The first image shows at left the two wires fron the plug, then goes into 3 white wires as seen, the blue ones do the same.

thx for all the replies, it helped alot (i think... ) in a week or so, when i get some money :/ i'll go get some LED's :D

different LED colours use different voltages. typical clear bright coloured LEDs range from 2.0-3.5V
i bought a packet of 100 LEDs (25 each of red, green blue and white) from eBay and their voltages are: Blue, 3.2-3.4V, Red,2.0-2.1V, Green, 3.0-3.3V and White, 3.0-3.2V with a current rating between 25-75mA. if you do need a resistor, visit www.ledcalc.com to find out what Ohmage you need
