Hey all. Recently I noticed that my PC is having some issues, I lost performance in every single game. After checking CPU temp at 82c I decided to clean entire case even when I know I did the same some months ago and to change thermal paste which I didn't charge for a year now and I only changed it once in three years. The past was still in good condition but I changed it anyway. I used the cheapest I could find. Before I got bearly 30 fps in ATS and HOTS and after ATS is running at steady 75 fps ultra settings and HOTS at 90fps even horizon zero Dawn is working great and all at 50c temp. My question is WHAT HAPPEND AMD WHY. Tnx

Could hurt just to clean it off and re-apply thermal paste to know the answer to that.

The only thing I can think of is something wasn't seated properly, and you inadvertently fixed it when you cleaned it. Or the thermal paste application between the CPU and heatsink was really bad, or the cooler wasn't mounted correctly.

Usually a fresh paste job will do that.
