This November, Barrett Williams with ChatGPT just wrote 25 books (each about 200 pages) on Amateur radio; is this the future?

These books are actually quite readable.

Asking a computer program to get creative for you seldom ends well.

Maybe if i had absolutely nothing better to do with my time... This is the future much like synthesized cheesecake made out of flavored rice fibers are the future. Great if you have nothing else, but definitely
not the real thing.

Also he didn't really write 25 books... Chat GPT wrote 25 AGI babble books.

Weren't there an incident of people getting poisoned after following advice from some AI-generated mushroom identification guide, not months ago? Relying on (consumer-grade) LLM - which, to my knowledge, are often at best augmented by live Internet search to supplement its knowledge - for anything demanding factual accuracy is not really all that helpful. Not yet.

I hope the author checked the books for accuracy, before someone end themselves up in the loop with some high voltage equipment, or - not sure which one is worse - the FCC or local equivalent, rather than just ham radio.

Given how maybe 80% of the new and allegedly-dated text and image content of the Internet now appeared to be LLM and text-to-image AI-generated, there's plenty of autophagy going on as well. Could only wonder how it would end.

Well, I do not expect much of these books. As, from my own investigation(s), I have found out that ChatGPT is NOT an AI! But a very good programed chat bot with large database.

Did anyone read any of those books?

Indeed, I picked Amateur radio as an example.

'Digital Waves' is the only book I have got refunded from Amazon so far.

Read through the books with ChatGPT and accidentally a numbers station that I can't turn off, worst mistake of my life
