I am trying to install and 14.4 drivers . Safe mode, driver sweeper, etc. Still get this damn error. Need a sure bet fix please.

Run DDU or similar to remove all traces of drivers, maybe run an SFC /scannow in CMD to ensure no OS files are corrupted, try to do a driver install then. Do you have any more information? What driver were you coming from? Did it crash during uninstall? Did you try to do a clean or dirty install? Maybe take a screenshot (or use Snip)...and upload it to techpowerup.org and post?

Uninstalled 14.1 using driver sweeper. In safe mode, rebooted a ran 14.4 I downloaded from tpu

Why are you installing new drivers in safe mode? Unless they're unsigned/modified drivers, this should not be necessary. Though the driver should still install. That answers a couple of my questions. Unless you meant to say you uninstalled drivers using driver sweeper in safe mode. I'll await response to the rest as we sort this out or another solution comes along. I have about 100 pages of OS networking administration to read through tonight so I'll check back. Hopefully we can get ya sorted!

Have you tried installing drivers through device manager? Maybe get 7-zip, extract the 14.4 exe, and point to the driver directory to see if you can at least get that applied. I'd be wondering if something got corrupted...I'd do an SFC next honestly. Have you tried re-installing 14.1's to see if they show the same symptoms?

When I have AMD graphics driver issues on my Dell 3540 I gotta reinstall intel GPU and chipset drivers....it's finicky.. and probably not helpful in this case...but could be. Keep us posted...please answer all the questions asked. :toast:

Also, you could also run a system restore to before you did this and try again...maybe a different utility. I will say that Catalyst install manager does a decent job of uninstalling enough for a new driver install to be plenty stable in my recent AMD graphics driver experiences. Maybe take the simple route this time?
