I just installed XP 32bit and am having trouble installing the sound drivers for my b-gears CMI8788 sound card. Everytime I ran the drivers it says "Please plug in "C-Media Oxygen HD Audio" and install driver again.". The device is detected in Device Manager, and I was able to get sound working by right clicking and clicking Update Driver. The only issue however is the sound software "Xear 3D" is not installing when I do it by this method, and I need that to fine tune things, and set the sound to Dolby or DTS. Any ideas? I've had issues with this in the path, but I haven't used XP in awhile so I'm a little rusty.

I googled the problem and it seems a number of others have had it too, but I didn't really see any solutions.

It worked, I apparently made this same post awhile back and found it while searching the forum haha
