I have a socket 478 with one very special cooler on it, the old SLK900 .

I recently got Zalman GV1000 for my VGA and i am very happy with the results , specially temperatures and the sound of it .

i am thinking over and over to replace the fine SLK900 with the CNPS9500A , so to gain a even more quiet system.

In all the "modern" reviews , i have see that "Zalman CNPS9500A LED" does it well , but still i am having better temperatures with my current cooler . ( Or think so )

I am running a Prescot 3.2 at 3.450 GHz .

Is there any proof , that i will get any better performance , or its better to keep my current cooler , and lower the fan speed .

In other words how effective are the "Zalman CNPS9500A LED" at the lower speed, how hot does it keep your CPU at load .

Heres a review with some temp comparisons.

But in my humble opinion, those Zalman do not really perform that well on oc'ed CPUs. I had a 9700, stock was never over 30° C, as soon as some (light) oc happened, temps somehow skyrocketed. So I don't really recommend them. But frostytech lists a huge amount of coolers also for your socket, so you should be able to find a good (i.e. better) performing cooler for less money.

If i could find direct comparison with what i have , my question would be easily answered. :)

Does any one haves it, to report CPU and temperatures ?
