I changed a cpu and does not install heatsink and connect any loop in my pc yet but I see code 00 aftet I hit the power bottom. I switched back to the old cpu which is works fine right before I replaced it and still see code 00. Is code 00 right after hit the power button mean something is wrong or I need connect everything first then pc will boot?

00 usually means a dead Motherboard.
Try connecting everything up as it should be then power up.

Please explain what you mean by "does not install heatsink and connect any loop".

Did you mount the heatsink fan assembly using a proper "new" layer of TIM (thermal interface material)? And did you connect the CPU fan's power connector to the motherboard fan header?

By "loop", do you mean "circuit"? As in the fan's power connection?

I just put the cpu to the socket without any heatsink and power on like 1s to see if the cpu works or not and see code 00.

Put a cooler on it!

You mean like this?

Been a while since I saw someone do this especially on modern CPUs!

 It is critical to understand a CPU can go from cold to over-heated in just a few clock cycles. And typical CPUs these days eun at ~3 billion clock cycles every second. For this reason, motherboard BIOS typically immediately shutdown if it does not detect a fan.

If lucky, the CPU will just shut down. If not, have fire extinguisher handy.

Note in that video, the cooler was removed, but still plugged in.

You're doing this to a 10900k :wtf:

You'd be lucky if that chip's not permanently damaged, especially if the rest of the setup's fine!

I don't understand why anyone would even attempt this. It just seems to me the necessity for a cooler would be so obvious - especially to anyone who has been around computers since at least 2011. Surely, warnings about running without the cooler are in the motherboard manual, CPU mounting instructions, and if the CPU does not come with an OEM cooler, then the aftermarket cooler.

@mrthanhnguyen - I am not trying to ridicule you but, what were you thinking?

Since you're running without a cooler, put some bacon on there and see if it cooks. Maybe you'll get a BN instead of 00 as you enjoy running the high risk of damaging hardware for no reason.

Use your brain dude.
