I have a Rx 580 8Gb v1 It just came back from RMA- fan was slowly dieing . Getting code 43 in device manager, although pixel patcher has been confirmed patched. Im wondering if its a bad bios flash. The current bios flashed is 197875.rom. any suggestions?

thanks

I did a DDU and got "The driver trying to start is not the same as the driver for the POSTed display adapter" in the device manager

Need white sticker info from card back or card heatsink (on side)

And also a picture of 1 ram chip on the card. (Bios are very specific)

Here is a pic of the stickers. I’d hate to take a pic of the ram chip since it’s still under warranty, but I will if necessary

If it is under warranty send it back

I just received back from RMA.....faulty fan. You think they cover bad bios flash?

With that card being the way it is I would highly suggest sending it back and buying a brand new card

What brand is that card?

Let me see if I can locate some info for that card.

Code 43s can mean card is bad physically, better to plug in 2 separate power rails or a flaky mining/incorrect bios was installed

Give me some time, im dealing with others as well.

ive confirmed the power is good.

Do not abandon the forums, you will have an answer.

Can you please open gpu-z and get me a screenshot of the page that appears?

Ugh.

Ok i want you to remove the gpu heatsink and verify what brand of ram chip is on the card.

I’d really want to follow your direction but I’d hate to void the warranty. I almost positive I found my original bios. It’s over 2mb!!! So I would have used Polaris to modify this corrupt bios file. I’ve written numerous bios files since. I’ve noticed the memory have been both micron and Hynix.

Flashing a bios voids the warranty too.

Is there a sticker on the card to prevent you from removing a screw?

Are you using your card to currently power the monitor?

Ok. I didn’t realize that. There is a sticker. I am not using the card.

I believe, the ram chips are not totally covered by the heat sink. Is see the micron symbol on some ram chips

The m with a circle?

Ok good give me a few

The bios you put in was this

Sometimes
Motherboard chipset drivers need to be updated, system restarted, then gpu drivers completely removed, then system restarted and drivers installed.

Try this one first

Then This one

If you still have a problem the card is defective and you should RMA yet again.

Make sure to hold onto the serial number sticker picture.

Thanks so much for the help Unfortunately, I’m sending in for RMA. I’ll update on any info I may receive

Keep track of the serial number, if its the same then they sent you the same card back. At this rate they should just replace it with a better model.

They finally resolved the RMA. No direct replacement but offered me $230.

Good brand new 580s should be lower in price. Go grab a sapphire RX 580 pulse 8 gig
