Well that is why, you are trying to game on a 10yr old computer. 512MBs of ram isnt enough to run games on, you'd need closer to 2 GBs if its modern games and a celeron isnt going to cut it.You need a new computer.
Which games are you trying to play exactly? unless these games are like from 2000-2004 or some valve games on low settings I can not see it happening.

If your laptop supports adding more RAM you could do so. However as Dent1 said I guess it's time for a new computer.
If you decide so, it's better to buy a desktop pc instead of a laptop. A tower pc would be cheaper at the end, have better performance than a laptop and is upgradeable.

Agreed. For gaming you can't beat a desktop pc. hell even throwing a 40 dollar video card in a stock(new) desktop will allow you to play most games.
Keep the note book for internet, get a pc for gaming.

What they said. Besides ram is one of only 3 things you can upgrade without hassel. Buy or build a desktop is you best option. You can even build a small form pc and it will be portable.
