Compatible motherboard for Intel i7 6700k

Hello, good day to everyone!

I come for advice from people with greater knowledge than mine.

this week my computer stopped working, some friends comment that it is possibly the motherboard and the technical service of my neighborhood thinks the same, so I come to you to ask for help.

I'm looking for a new board for my setup, but I'm not 100% sure which one will work well, I found a complete list of boards compatible with my processor but now I don't know if the graphics will work.

These are the characteristics of my equipment:
Processor: intel core i7 6700k
graphics: GeForce GTX 1080
RAM: 2 - DDR4 8Gb at 3200Mhz
Source: 650W
I live in a country where the price of imported components flies through the air * cough cough * Argentina * cough cough * so my budget is limited.

You should get a z170 or z270 chipset motherboard since you have a 6700k. HOWEVER, if you need to buy a new motherboard, perhaps you should consider getting a new CPU at the same time? Because z170/z270 boards are old and really not worth getting anymore. Just sell the 6700k to recoup some of the money.

thanks for the advice, you are right , i should buy a new CPU. i will check if i can sell the 6700k to buy a new one
