so last night my pc was constantly crashing after a cutscene in Shadow of the Tomb Raider where Lara pickups Dagger and (pretty early stage of the game), it doesn't matter if i skip the scene or not it crashes to desktop anyway. I removed my ram oc, set bios settings to default, lowest settings in game, ddu with different drivers but nothing worked.
So i ran extended memtest overnight and it froze at 21%. According to Chatgpt, the event log error 0xc0000005 indicates issue with ram (memory violation or something). But i think it could be gpu or mobo as gpu was forced into slot by my brother as he was getting no display because he forgot to put cpu 8pin eps power cable. Now i am in a dilemma, i might have to replace my motherboard, gpu or maybe ram. I haven't tried one stick of ram in each slot so would try that too.
Any other suggestions?
