I have aAn X850PRO and would like to flash it to an xt. The thing i that i've heard all sorts of rumors about laser cutting the pipes and came to the conclusion that the only way to find out is for someone to try it. What would happen to the card if i were to flash on the XT bios and the pipes were not functional due to laser cuts. Could i not just flash it back or would it be fuxxored.

Well if you flash it and the pipes are cut you just wont get them. The card will go to the XT speeds but will not have the extra pipes enabled. The thing with a flash is that it can mess the card up. Most of the time it wont, but it can. Sometimes you have to have a pci card so you can flash it back to the orginal due to not having and picture from the messed up flash. If they flash doesn't work, you will probably have to blind flash to fix it unless you have a pci card. If the flash works and the pipes are cut it will work fine. Except for the fact of not having the extra pipes. You can check to see if the pipes are cut by looking at the chip for a little line on the gpu. If theres no line, then theres a good chance that they are not cut. Just make sure you backup your old bios and check to see if the card cn handle the higher clocks.
