If it has a large PASSIVE heatsink on it like this

TAKE IT!!!!!!!.
I had both and this 9550 can overclock up to 508/270 if it has hynix ram,if it has samsung it can go 508/240. It is 100% same as 9600 but costs less and has a prepared good passive cooling.

I would get the 9600 version because the core on it has probably been rated more stbale at higher sppeds, the chip that dont quite make the grade get put on 9550's but usually can reach 9600 pro speeds but not much more.

508/270??? u kidding? with a passive heatsink?

I recently got one of these (9550), and I was thinking of buying a better cooler but if what you say is true..., thinking about it, is a damn big heatsink after all... and the one in the connect3d 9600 is the same...

Nobru_rv can you tell me a little more about the settings you used to overclock that videocard?
