According to Tom's Hardware Catalyst 5.12 drivers are supposed to allow for Crossfire to work with 2x non-master cards.

Has anyone tried running 2x Connect 3D GTOs unlocked and overclocked in Crossfire on a Crossfire compatible motherboard?

Has anyone tried running ANY CROSSFIRE setup with an unlocked GTO or GTO2 ?

Thanks

could you post the link to this as i am very interested, thanx!

just a question

No, no one has tried this yet apparently,

In fact, no one appears to have tried ANY crossfire setups. Nearly all the reviews available are previews.

Abit is going to release a Crossfire board soon with the UL1575 southbridge (the one with fast USB, SATA 2, etc.)

Asus is too.

I'm going to ask on ATI Fanboy message boards to see if anyone's tried it successfully. I hate fanboys...

I just bought a Connect3D x800GTO from Newegg for $149.99 + tax and shipping with -$25 rebate a few days ago, it should be arriving soon.

I don't have a PCI express motherboard yet, I was hoping to buy the Asus or Abit crossfire one, but I don't know when they'll be available.

you know your card has the potential 16p mod. I have the same card and modded it fine. The reason i wanted the link cause i read where that x300, and x600 will work in crossfire without mastercard but everything i have seen on x800 and above will still need master cards. Plus the rfresh lock of 60hz will have to gone before i will consider a crossfire setup. If your building what mobo are you gonna use. MSI has pretty good radeon express boards, micro atx but most support up to 4gb ram and have SATA but no PATA znd NCQ. Newegg does have the only crossfire board out http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813136165, it got pretty good reviews as an enthusiast board.
