Hi,

At home we have Verizon Fios utilizing a G3100 Gateway and a couple extenders such as ScreenBeam Bonded MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter and a ScreenBeam WCB6200Q MoCA 2.0 WiFi Extender.

The Wifi Extender is connected via a coaxial connection upstairs the same for the Moca adapter in the basement. However when I am using the 2.5 Moca adapter via an ethernet hookup the internet is slow and always
buffering video except when I connect via wifi to the upstairs WCB6200Q Moca Wifi extender.

Not sure how to fix.

Thanks

Do you mean that any device connected to the MoCA by a ethernt cable, as in a pc or streaming box? The coax might be bad. Is the G3100 just connected into house cable? Then each moca adapter hooked up to wall plate? Was it done by you or Verizon? I suspect a bad connection somewhere in the walls. If you can, try to connect 2.5Gbps ScreenBeam directly to G3100 with one piece of coax. Buy it new if you have to, a short three footer will work.

I'm gonna write this, then check, but I have heard of incompatibility between G3100 and other, certain, moca chips.

Good luck, and nice to meet you!

Yes any computer connected to the 2.5 Gps Moca adapter via Ethernet is slow. The Moca adapter is connected to a Coax cable wire in the basement. In the bedroom I have 2.0 Moca wifi extender also connected to a spare coax cable and no problems connecting to it especially all the way from the basement. In the living room the G3100 is also connected to a Coax cable and that is the base station. All the hardware was installed by me but I called Verizon to complain once and later got an email there might be a problem and the technician came and did a quick test and found nothing wrong. Will try your suggestion,

Thanks

Swap the Moca adapters and see if the basement line speeds up. If it does not, I would have to say it's a bad coax cable.
