Constant BSOD in VR: Video Scheduler Internal Error

Over the weekend I have been exercising in VR a lot since I put my PC back into one piece. One strange thing I noticed is whenever I user VR for more than 45 minutes my machine would BSOD. If I play any demanding title, say Serious Sam 3 VR it would BSOD within 10 minutes. And here is the strange thing, it only applies to VR use case. Regular gaming seems to be fine.

Another weird thing is even if the VR does not cause BSOD it would lock my GPU clock to full 1050MHz forever. Only a reboot can solve that. I have tried both 17.11.1 and 17.11.2.

The error is "Video Scheduler Internal Error." Using Windows 10 FCU. GPU-Z logged GPU temperature during VR is around 63C and the fans of the AIO were getting pretty loud.

Any ideas?

EDIT: found someone with similar situation. He has 2 monitors, I have 1 monitor and 1 HMD. So basically problem when there are 2 displays?

Here is what I tried.

1. Previous WHQL 17.7.1. Does not work well with Windows 10 FCU. Crashes to desktop in both monitor gaming and Vive gaming
2. First Beta driver for FCU. No crashes in monitor gaming; BSOD in Vive. Clock speed locked to full speed after ANY period of Vive session.

I do DDU between all of my driver installs. I even reinstalled SteamVR to make sure it is not Valve's fault. Looks like it is the good old AMD driver issue. I hope it is driver issue, as I do not want to deal with a dying GPU. :(

@xkm1948 the reply I received and sent to your inbox should put your mind at ease for a while anyway as you can see they have not dropped support for your card at all ;)

There's a lot of resources at work right now for the December driver coming out... You know the one AMD gives us for Christmas every year :)
