Hi

I'm new in water cooling so I have a few questions.

1 - It's a normal when I start computer H80i fans works on max speed? There is huge noise but after 4/6 second fans reduce speed.

2 - What is recommended fans and pomp RPM? Now I have fans: ~1000, pomp: ~2000. But when I play RPM increases to ~2000. And noise ofc.

I think that all.

Thanks
~Tintai

1.Yes it is completely normal, the fans run at full 12v before the software kicks in and put its at what you set it,exact same thing with my antec 920.
2.just get it as high as you can without the noise bothering you(pick a speed for the pump and try not to change it,from what i understand its unhealthy for the pump to change speeds).

Thanks.

2 - Now I set to Quiet Mod. But I can't find optimal fans speed.

I have two more questions.

3 - I watched many films on YT and I saw that is mounted that the tubes coming out of the lower part of coller. But I mounted this conversely. Does it matter? I know its stupid question but... :p

4 - And what about temperatures? Now I have ~33C on default 3,4GHz. Damn, I forgot to save the standard cooling temperature.

Thanks.

I believe an optimal speed would be some where between 1000-1200rpm,The tubing should actually be coming from the right side of the cpu block as in this video:
How-to Install the Hydro Series H80 and H100 Liqui...
although i highly doubt it will matter much if at all.
as far as temps go just overclock and see how high you get with a few hours of prime95.

Hmm my tubes comes from upper part. I can reverse this but I don't know if is necessary.
Anyone can tell me?

Ok and last question.
Which liquid is used for cooling? Water?

Tube positioning doesn't matter, don't worry.

Which liquid is used for cooling? Water?

Probably a water+glycol mixture, you don't need to do anything to it anyway it is a clc with no maintenance :)

generally, distilled water is what is used in water-cooling IIRC.

I have a question for you Tintai. What are your CPU temps with the H80i when running at full load and what speed/voltage are you running your 2600k at?

The reason I ask is because I currently have a H60 with a 2nd fan for push/pull on my 2600k, and run my CPU at full load constantly by running Bionic. I would really like to lower my temps so I can OC 24/7. Just running at the stock turbo speed of 3.8ghz, my CPU stays in the low to mid 70'c range. My Lian Li case doesn't have room for a 240 mm radiator like the H100/H100i use, otherwise I would already have one. If I can get my running temps at my current settings down to the low 60'ç range, I'll purchase a H80i today.

my current settings/temps-

I'm running 3DMark and Fire Strike and:
Cores temps are ~50C and CPU max to 45C.

And Windows test:

How can I run in 100% CPU load?

Use Prime95 or Intel Burn Test with the latest AVX.

Ok, 5 minutes with with Prime95.

After three minutes, the temperature stopped rising.
